AO3 Housing Officer QLD Government - Career opportunity! $51.12 per hour superannuation ASAP Start Monday - Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) Full-time, temporary contract opportunity potential ongoing The Role Our Queensland Government client is seeking someone looking for a career within the Department! Become part of a high-volume team, within a supportive Housing Service Centre environment. In this position, you will deliver a wide range of applicant, tenancy, and property management services, along with advice to customers with complex needs. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee property maintenance and carry out property inspections. Conduct property visits, investigate tenancy disputes and complaint and support their resolution Maintain precise customer and property records using the Microsoft Suite and internal systems, ensuring a high level of accuracy Handle tenancy arrangements, allocations, tenancy changes and vacancies while liaising with other housing providers to ensure departmental compliance Assist customers in person and over the phone, conduct intake interviews, make referrals to support services and assess applications for social housing and private housing assistance Monitor and manage rent and maintenance arrears, complete rent assessments, establish payment plans, and process refunds and collections You The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong empathy, and have experience in a customer-facing role.
