Job description Role Opportunity : Support a mine development prefeasibilty study by leading environmental approvals and baseline studies.Drive strategy, coordinate surveys, and manage consultants across a diverse scope of environmental work. Benefits: • Lead approvals for prefeasibilty study • Exposure to multi-disciplinary environmental programs • 12-month contract with ongoing pipeline Qualifications & Skills: • Environmental science or related tertiary degree • 7-15 years mining approvals experience • Strong knowledge WA regulatory frameworks including good knowledge of the Goldfields region. • Proven stakeholder and consultant management skills • Experience with GIS and project tools • Experience providing strategic and operational environmental advice across multiple levels of an organisation. Duties & Responsibilities: • This position leads/supports the progression of baseline environmental studies for a Mine Development prefeasibilty Study. • Preparation of key approvals, including approvals under the Mining Act, Part V and Part IV Section 38 referrals. • Assess requirement for, lead and coordinate environmental surveys, including water related studies, waste rock characterisation, flora, fauna, subterranean fauna, and environmental impact assessments. • Develop approvals strategies, plans, and schedules to support the study. • Engage, manage, and review consultants delivering study deliverables. • Liaise with internal stakeholder's, including site based teams, to coordinate study activities and logistics, and approvals documentation. • Manage schedules and budgets associated with environmental and approvals activities. • The position will be Perth based, with site travel of approximately one week each month, or as needed to support onsite surveys, testing and stakeholder management.Contribute to the development and coordination of detailed designs for tailings storage facilities, including: About Our Client A leading global gold producer with a strong focus on safe, sustainable, and technically robust mining operations across large-scale, complex assets.
