The Role We currently require an experienced Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager to join our team on Rottnest Island for a well known client. Reporting to the Maintenance & Utilities Project Manager, the Plant Manager will work within the utilities team to operate and maintain the Waste Water Treatment plant and Desalination plant, and repair any plant issues that occur. The suitable applicant is required to use appropriate procedures and specifications and ensure activities are carried out to a satisfactory and timely manner. Specific projects may also be carried out as required. Major equipment overhauls Plant replacement or upgrade Asset handover and operation of additional equipment as required Document control and reporting as required Key responsibilities Waste water treatment process experience Desalination process experience Bio waste management experience Sampling & analysis recording & reporting Contractor management SCADA operation Gas Testing PLC experience Sewer pump station & pipe network experience Plant housekeeping experience Skills and experience Chlorine handing training MR license Forklift license Confined Space ticket Working at heights Certificate III in water and waste water treatment Strong understanding and compliance with OH&S The ability to communicate technical information directly with the client Proven experience running a team of operators Intermediate Microsoft programs experience You will be offered: Competitive remuneration package Great employee benefits An enjoyable working culture and supportive team environment The Waste Water Treatment plant is a package plant operation that would suit anyone with remote, rural or mine site experience.
