What you will be doing Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, External Communication, this role will be responsible for: leading strategic media initiatives that protect and enhance the VEC's reputation, driving proactive opportunities and managing sensitive issues delivering integrated communication plans for major programs, election events and other priorities providing trusted advice to senior leaders and building strong relationships with media supporting and mentoring team members during election periods and peak operational activity. What you will bring to the role experience leading media and communication initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment, with strong issues and crisis management expertise exceptional storytelling skills, with a talent for turning complex information into clear, compelling content that informs, engages and builds public trust strong influencing and relationship-building skills, enabling you to quickly establish credibility with senior leaders, journalists and a wide range of stakeholders commitment to the VEC's core values How to apply All applicants must submit: a current CV and a separate document with responses to Key Selection Criteria (KSC) 6.4, 6.5, 6.6 and 6.8 as listed in the position description.
