About the job We're partnering with a leading Australian organisation looking to bring on a Systems SQL Analyst to own customisations, integrations and data conversions. This will be a hands-on, technical seat building the data models and datasets the wider business and reporting layer rely on. The Opportunity Own complex SQL development across customisations, integrations and data conversions Sit between database engineering and development, building and indexing the data layer and shaping it into clean, consumable datasets for the dev team and Power BI Build and maintain the data models and datasets that feed Power BI reporting Design, develop and maintain financial and operational reports using SSRS and Power BI, including semantic models, row-level security and workspace administration Deliver project work across system enhancements, data conversions and an upcoming move to a lakehouse architecture Build automations using Power Automate as the team moves away from SSIS Support integrations across multiple databases, client portals and cloud platforms Maintain system health and integrity, including the BAU underneath, index maintenance and data quality Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions What We're Looking For Deep hands-on experience with SQL Server, spanning index management, database security and ongoing maintenance Strong data modelling and dataset design, building data that downstream reporting and development teams can consume Experience with Power BI, SSRS, Power Apps, Power Automate and Fabric Track record delivering customisations, integrations and data conversions in a complex environment Able to work independently on complex problems while collaborating across teams Methodical problem solver who documents their work well Clear communicator who can adapt for technical and non-technical audiences Nice to Have Understanding of financial processes and controls, including complex billing or fee structures
