Job Description Blackwell Clinic is a new Australian telehealth-first private medical clinic focused on clinician-led metabolic health, hormone health, medical weight management, mental health assessment, preventative health, and peptide-related care where clinically appropriate and legally permitted. We are seeking an Australian-registered General Practitioner to join us as an independent contractor in a flexible telehealth role. This role may suit a GP with an interest in: Medical weight management Metabolic health Hormone-related care Mental health assessments and care planning Preventative health Peptide-related and emerging adjunctive therapies, where clinically appropriate Private telehealth care Peptide-specific experience is desirable but not essential. Training and clinical workflow support can be provided for suitable practitioners willing to develop knowledge in this area. Patients complete a structured online medical assessment before consultation. The clinician reviews the assessment, conducts the consultation, determines clinical suitability, and manages care independently. All prescribing, referral, and treatment decisions remain solely at the clinician's discretion. Role Responsibilities Review completed patient medical assessments Conduct private telehealth consultations Undertake mental health assessments and care planning where clinically appropriate Determine clinical suitability for care Order and review pathology where required Prescribe only where clinically appropriate Provide follow-up care as clinically indicated Maintain clear clinical documentation Support safe, compliant, patient-centred care Comply with relevant Medicare Benefits Schedule requirements where applicable Requirements Current AHPRA registration MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification Professional indemnity insurance Australian-based practitioner Comfortable working via telehealth Interest in metabolic, hormone, mental health, weight management, or preventative care Peptide knowledge desirable, or willingness to complete provided training Strong documentation and clinical judgement Understanding of Medicare Benefits Schedule billing requirements desirable Remuneration This is a flexible contractor role paid per consultation / percentage of billings. Indicative structure: Initial consultations: $90 per 30-minute consultation , equivalent to approximately $180/hour Follow-up consultations: $50 per 15-minute consultation , equivalent to approximately $200/hour Patient fees are currently: Initial consultation: $199 Follow-up consultation: $149 Final terms may be discussed based on clinical experience, availability, and fit.
