Lindfield Medical Practice is seeking a registered practice nurse to join our friendly team. The practice is an established general practice providing high quality care. The role is part time (8 - 16 hours per week) with the potential for flexible hours and increased hours for the right candidate. Wages will be above award rates, and no weekend shifts. We are located within easy access to public transport. Essential Selection Criteria: Current APHR registration as a Registered Nurse. Ability to perform wound care, dressings and assist with minor procedures and vaccinations. Competency with sterilisation and infection control procedures. Competency with cold chain management of vaccines. Computer literacy – preferably familiar with medical software, EXCEL spreadsheets or be able to learn new programs quickly. Ability to assist with Chronic Disease Care planning and patient Health Assessments. Effectively manage patient recall and reminder systems. Good communication skills. Self-directed and able to work as part of a small team of nurses and with administrative and medical staff. Desirable Selection Criteria: Nurse immuniser certificate. Previous practice nursing or community nursing experience. Interest in further training or up-skilling to meet the requirements of the role.
