As the business continues to expand its product portfolio and technical services, we are seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our growing technical team. About the Role: The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting and optimising enterprise network infrastructure used to support security systems, IP surveillance, access control, cloud connectivity and associated technologies. The role requires a highly motivated professional capable of working independently while providing technical guidance to customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Analyse, design and implement secure computer network infrastructure for commercial and enterprise environments. Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks and VPN solutions. Design and optimise IP network infrastructure supporting CCTV, intercom, access control and alarm systems. Monitor network performance and implement improvements to maximise reliability, availability and security. Investigate and resolve complex network faults and connectivity issues. Configure and support cloud-based networking and remote access technologies. Develop network security policies and implement cybersecurity best practices. Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams and system configuration records. Work closely with project managers, installers and customers to deliver network solutions. Provide Level 3 technical support for enterprise networking environments. Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements. Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum three years' relevant industry experience. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols. Experience configuring enterprise switches, routers and firewalls. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory. Knowledge of virtualisation platforms and cloud networking technologies. Experience supporting IP CCTV, access control or integrated security systems is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team.
