Technical Field Advisor - Wind Farm Projects - FIFO from Perth - 12 Month Project - WA We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Field Advisor (TFA) to support the delivery of major Wind Farm projects in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join Australia's rapidly growing renewable energy sector and play a key role in delivering large-scale wind energy developments across regional WA. Working closely with OEMs, EPC contractors, and site construction teams, you will provide technical oversight and guidance throughout wind turbine installation, mechanical completion, commissioning, and handover activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, compliantly, and in accordance with OEM standards. Key Responsibilities Provide technical supervision and guidance during wind turbine installation, mechanical completion, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Act as the OEM technical representative on site, ensuring works are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements. Support site teams by resolving technical issues and providing practical solutions during construction and commissioning. Verify installation quality and ensure all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems are installed correctly prior to commissioning. Review and approve technical documentation, installation records, commissioning reports, and completion documentation. Support HOTO (Handover-Takeover) and final turbine handovers to clients and commissioning teams. Liaise with project management, supervisors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives to ensure efficient delivery of project milestones. Identify technical non-conformances and support corrective actions to achieve successful project completion. Maintain accurate technical reporting and provide regular project updates to stakeholders. Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OEM procedures, Australian Standards, and site requirements. Requirements Previous experience as a Technical Field Advisor, Service Technician, Commissioning Engineer, or Site Supervisor within the wind industry. Strong understanding of wind turbine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. Experience on utility-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects within Australia preferred. Experience with major turbine platforms such as Vestas, GE Vernova, Siemens Gamesa, Goldwind, Nordex, or Envision highly regarded. Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, OEM documentation, and commissioning procedures. Strong understanding of WHS regulations and Australian Standards. Current White Card required. GWO certifications highly desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work FIFO rosters across regional Western Australia.
