About You : Organised with strong attention to detail Customer-focused with good communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Interested in automotive or heavy vehicle parts Comfortable using computer systems Skills & Requirements Parts Interpreter qualification (or years of experience) Previous experience in the motor or parts industry (preferred) Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) Current driver’s licence Experience with warehousing or stock control (desirable) Ability to work a rotating Saturday roster Position Summary : Position Title: Parts Interpreter Location: Coffs Harbour Position Reports To: Parts Manager Indirect Reports To: Branch Manager/Workshop Manager/Inventory Controller Key Working Relationships: Workshop Technicians, Apprentices, Procurement, Service Advisors, Admin Team, Suppliers, Delivery Drivers The Parts Interpreter is responsible for identifying, sourcing, ordering, and supplying parts required for heavy vehicle maintenance and repair operations. The role ensures the accurate and timely delivery of parts to technicians, maintains stock levels, communicates with suppliers, and supports workshop productivity through effective parts management. Key Requirements : Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter (heavy vehicle, automotive, machinery) preferred. Experience using inventory management systems and supplier portals. Experience in a workshop or mechanical environment highly beneficial. Knowledge of heavy vehicle components, systems, and brands desirable.
