Civil Plant Operator / All-Rounder — grow into Leading Hand & Supervisor TDM Earthworks is a growing civil and earthworks contractor working across Melbourne's outer east — the Yarra Ranges, Maroondah, Manningham and Murrindindi councils. We're looking for an experienced civil all-rounder who wants to build a career, not just clock hours. This is a hands-on role for someone equally happy running the machines and getting on the tools — and there's a genuine pathway here to step up to Leading Hand and then Supervisor with a contractor that promotes from within. What you'll be doing Operating excavators, skid steers and other plant across civil projects Roadworks, roundabouts, stormwater drainage and subdivision earthworks Excavation, backfill, trenching, rock spreading and final trim — including GPS/laser Floating machines and attachments to and from site Getting hands-on with the manual work where the job needs it — this is a true all-rounder seat Daily pre-starts, SWMS, dockets and the safety rhythm that keeps everyone home safe What you'll need 4–5 years' civil construction experience Excavator (LE) and/or Skid Steer (LS) tickets Construction Induction (White Card) and a full driver's licence The reliability and communication that TDM can build into a leadership role What's on offer Permanent role, paid hourly so your earnings aren't capped — $45–$55 per hour depending on experience, plus super on top Overtime paid — on a typical 50-hour week that's $130k–$155k a year, and you're paid for every hour you work Company vehicle provided Site and travel allowances A clear pathway to Leading Hand and Supervisor Steady, primarily local pipeline of work across the outer east, with occasional travel as projects require If you're an experienced civil all-rounder ready to step up with a contractor that'll back your progression, we'd love to hear from you.
