The role is based 4 hours from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra. The role is to start ASAP for 8-12 weeks possible extension. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary allied health team. There is also a permanent role available, level 3. This is a level 3 solo Rural Generalist role which supports inpatients and outpatients with acquired communication and swallowing impairments on background neurodegenerative conditions, acquired brain injury, head and neck cancer and other medical conditions. Acquired communication disorders covers the range of speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders. Acquired brain injury, stroke, neurological diagnosis, oncology and TBI. Open to Level 2 & 3 clinicians. FREE simple hospital accommodation (single room, shared kitchen and single sex bathroom). The location is a great rural town with lots of cultural, food and exercise/sport options and easy access amenities (cafes, Big W, 3 supermarkets). 2hrs from Canberra, 2hrs from Wagga, 2hrs from Orange. Upto $200 each way towards travel. Locum rates upto $76 per hour super potential for living away from home benefits (more take home pay, upto $10 more per hour!).
