This is a newly created people leadership role within a growing Australian SaaS company operating in the CRM space. The business has built a strong implementation function, but the team has now reached a scale where it needs a dedicated manager focused on people, performance, capability and consistency. This is not a hands-on implementation role. You will not carry your own customer projects or be expected to personally configure the platform. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 15 Technical Business Analysts and Configuration Consultants. The Role You will manage a team working across complex SaaS implementations and customer delivery. Your focus will be on helping people perform at their best, creating clear management rhythms, improving consistency and ensuring the team has the support, structure and direction it needs to succeed. You will be responsible for: Leading and supporting a team of approximately 15 Technical Business Analysts and Configuration Consultants. Running regular one-to-ones, team check-ins, performance conversations and career development planning. Coaching consultants through delivery challenges, customer issues and professional development. Managing underperformance fairly, directly and constructively. Creating visibility across team health, workload, capability gaps and delivery risks. Allocating work and helping the team manage competing priorities. Acting as a senior escalation point for complex customer and delivery issues. Building trust, accountability and consistency across the team. Improving onboarding, training, playbooks, documentation and knowledge sharing. Working with Delivery, Product, Engineering and senior leaders to remove blockers and improve outcomes. Driving initiatives that improve team efficiency, output and quality. Helping the implementation function continue to scale without losing delivery standards or customer focus. What They Are Looking For This role is first and foremost about people management. You will need to have: Current or recent experience directly managing a team within a SaaS business. Experience leading Technical Business Analysts, Configuration Consultants, Implementation Consultants, Implementation Engineers, Technical Consultants or a closely related team. Strong experience in coaching, performance management, career development and team capability uplift. Confidence managing experienced specialists rather than junior customer service or onboarding teams. Experience creating structure across one-to-ones, reporting, team reviews, workload management and performance expectations. A track record of improving consistency through playbooks, training, documentation or repeatable ways of working. Strong judgement when managing people, customer escalations and competing priorities. The maturity to give clear feedback, address underperformance and make difficult decisions when required. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership. Comfort working in a growing environment where responsibilities may evolve and not every problem has a perfectly defined owner. Enough understanding of SaaS implementation to recognise delivery risks, ask the right questions and bring the appropriate technical people into the conversation. You need to understand how SaaS implementations work and be credible leading people who deal with configuration, integrations, data, testing, customer requirements and go-live delivery.
