Your new role Based out of Launceston, you will work alongside an experienced delivery driver, assisting with deliveries across the state. This is a hands-on, physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working on the road and being part of a team.Day-to-day, you will support all aspects of the delivery process, ensuring goods are handled safely, delivered efficiently, and presented to a high standard. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the delivery driver with daily routes across Tasmania Loading and unloading goods using safe manual handling techniques Operating a pallet jack to move stock Using a powered tailgate/lift to safely load and unload items from the truck Unwrapping and preparing large items for delivery Supporting efficient and accurate deliveries to customers Maintaining the presentation and condition of goods Following all workplace health and safety procedures What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in a delivery offsider, labouring, or warehouse role (preferred but not essential)Strong physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasksA positive attitude and willingness to learnReliability, punctuality, and strong work ethicAbility to work effectively as part of a teamA current drivers licence (highly regarded) What youll get in return This role is ideal for someone looking to break into the delivery and logistics sector and will commence as a casual assignment through Hays.
