Technical Operations Engineer Adelaide, SA $100,000 - $130,000 Super Description This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified HVAC, mechanical, electrical or building services professional looking to build a long-term career in the rapidly growing data centre sector. The Role Reporting to the Facility Engineer, you'll support the operation, maintenance and performance of critical data centre infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime, safety and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Monitor, operate and maintain critical infrastructure systems. - Perform scheduled plant inspections and minor maintenance works. - Coordinate contractors, vendors and maintenance providers. - Manage work orders, permits and contractor inductions. - Support incident response, troubleshooting and fault investigations. - Assist with projects, commissioning activities and infrastructure handovers. - Maintain asset records, critical spares and maintenance documentation. - Ensure compliance with WHS, security, quality and operational procedures. - Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Systems You'll Work With - HVAC and precision cooling systems - Electrical distribution infrastructure - UPS and standby power systems - Fire detection and suppression systems - Building Management Systems (BMS) - Security and access control systems About You - Trade qualification in Mechanical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical or Building Services. - Experience within building services, facilities management, industrial or critical environments. - Strong HVAC and mechanical knowledge. - Exposure to electrical infrastructure is advantageous. - Previous shift-work experience preferred. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. - Comfortable working in a process-driven operational environment. Desirable - Data centre or critical facilities experience. - BMS and CMMS exposure. - Fire systems knowledge. - Asset management and preventative maintenance experience. - First Aid qualification. - Eligible and willing to obtain NV1 Security Clearance. Roster - 4 days on, 4 days off. - 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts. - Includes weekends and public holidays. - Future on-call participation may be required.
