I'm currently recruiting for a Lead Software Developer on behalf of a client of mine based South of the River in Perth. I'm looking for a Lead Developer who can do both: get hands-on with code and lead a team. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit in architecture meetings all day, nor is it purely heads-down development. The sweet spot is someone who ships quality work, runs tight agile ceremonies, and brings structure and maturity to a team that's being built around them. What you'll be doing Leading hands-on scoping and delivery of new digital products end-to-end Running agile ceremonies and producing clear burndown and performance reporting Overseeing legacy systems and contributing to planning around a future ERP transition Leading the onboarding and integration of a new offshore development team Communicating confidently with senior stakeholders and leadership What we're looking for 10 years across software architecture and senior development Strong .NET Core / C#, React and TypeScript Solid grasp of microservices, event-driven architecture, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) Experience with agile delivery AI tooling exposure (Codex, Claude Code or similar) strongly preferred Offshore team management or partnership experience is a real advantage What's on offer: Full-time, permanent position based South of the River, Perth Hybrid working arrangements introduced after an initial settling-in period A genuine seat at the table during a pivotal period of growth and innovation If you're a Lead Developer who thrives on complexity, influence, and driving real outcomes.
