The Coconut Hut in Port Doulas is a local landscaping business specialising in tree removals, palm de-nutting, and garden makeovers – bringing tropical charm and expert care to your outdoor space. The Coconut Hut is now looking to employ a fulltime experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team. We are offering a yearly salary $75,515 - $86,000 depending on experience. The right candidate will be responsible for: · Mowing, trimming, tree cutting and pruning · Plants, transplants, fertilizers, applies chemicals, waters, prunes and weeds flows beds and plant areas. · Installing, operating, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems. · Work with hand tools and machinery such as plants vehicle and diggers. · Perform maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking · Maintain all areas clean and tidy · Train and supervise junior gardeners · Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations. · Seeding and sodding lawns · Keep plants and flowers healthy by pruning and trimming trees and shrubs and weeding, mulching and aerating. · Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival · Distributes proper fertilisers, insecticides and organic materials · Install and maintain hard scapes · Water plant and grass as needed and apply fertilisers About You: · At least 1 year of experience as a Landscape Gardener · Holds Certificate III in Landscape Construction · Strong ability to operate and control landscape and gardening equipment · Strong physical skills like lifting, bending and reaching · The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools · Strong attention to detail.
