Our client is seeking an experienced Power Generation Electrician to join their team based in Maddington. This established power systems service provider specialises in maintaining and servicing diesel generator systems and associated electrical infrastructure. The role offers a great mix of workshop and field service work, with a 50/50 split between the company’s south of the river workshop and client sites. This is a full-time opportunity suited to a qualified electrician with strong experience in power generation, industrial electrical maintenance, switchboards and control systems. You will play a key role in maintaining generator systems, diagnosing faults and supporting clients with breakdowns and electrical repairs across a variety of environments. What you’ll be doing: Performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel generator electrical systems Diagnosing faults in kiosks, switchboards, transformers and generator control systems Conducting electrical testing, fault finding and corrective repairs Attending client sites for breakdowns and field service work Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation Coordinating with workshop and field teams for parts and service scheduling Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations Maintaining tools, test equipment and workshop housekeeping Providing advice on electrical system upgrades and improvements What you’ll need: Electrical trade qualification and WA Electrical Licence 5 years’ post-trade experience in power generation, mining or industrial environments Strong experience diagnosing and repairing generator electrical systems Solid knowledge of switchboards, transformers, motors and load circuits Experience with generator control systems and auxiliary electrical infrastructure Confidence using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers Strong understanding of electrical safety codes and compliance standards Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills Clear communication skills and a reliable work ethic Ability to work both independently and within a team What’s in it for you: Supportive and rewarding working environment Immediate start available Variety of work with a 50/50 split between workshop and site-based work Competitive hourly rates with higher rates paid for site work Opportunity to work with a skilled and experienced team How to apply: To complete your application for this position please click on the "APPLY" button.
