Position overview Employment Type: Part time (48 hours per fortnight), 12 Month Fixed term (Parental Leave) Duration: August 2026 to August 2027 Location: Warrnambool Campus Classification: Research Nurse Level 2 Salary Range: $115,289 per annum, pro rata, plus superannuation About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Trials team in a unique 12-month parental leave opportunity. As a Research Nurse (Clinical Trials), you will be at the centre of clinical research activity, providing patient care and coordinating study related clinical procedures in accordance with approved trial protocols. Working collaboratively with the Clinical Trials Team, Research Department and broader organisation, you will help ensure clinical trials are conducted to the highest ethical, regulatory and professional standards. Your responsibilities will include participant recruitment and follow up, patient and family education, study coordination, data management, and monitoring participant safety throughout the research journey. What you bring We are seeking a proactive, organised and patient focused Registered Nurse who enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about delivering high quality care. You will have: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience. Experience coordinating patient care and managing complex clinical workloads. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, clinicians and external stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting study timelines. Strong computer literacy and experience working with electronic systems and databases. Knowledge of clinical research principles and Australian regulatory requirements, including ICH-GCP Guidelines, the NHMRC National Statement and Privacy legislation. Desirable Previous experience in clinical research or clinical trials. Experience in Oncology and/or Haematology nursing. Knowledge of adverse event reporting and clinical trial governance requirements.
