What you will do As senior prison officer, you will lead prison officers and help maintain a safe, secure and respectful prison. You will coach your team, support rehabilitation and respond to daily operational needs with confidence. You will: lead prison officers and support the safe daily operation of prison accommodation and security areas coach staff through training, feedback and regular performance conversations manage complex case loads and help people in custody work towards rehabilitation respond to incidents, direct emergency operations and maintain prison security prepare reports, complete records and promote safe work practices across your team. About you You must hold a current Victorian driver licence, or at least a P2 licence, before you start. You must also obtain a current Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid before commencement. You will need to complete Prison Officer Pre-Service Training if you have not already done so. A Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial), or a similar qualification, is desirable. You should also have: experience leading staff in a correctional or similar statutory setting knowledge of correctional legislation, policies and offender case management strong judgement, communication skills and the ability to solve problems * resilience, leadership and a commitment to inclusion and rehabilitation.
