As Diraq’s IT & Network Engineer , you will build and operate the secure IT and network foundations that the company runs on. This hands‑on, mid‑level role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, network environments, and security controls that protect sensitive research and enable a fast‑moving technical team to operate efficiently without cutting corners. You will own the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of systems and network security appliances, provide helpdesk and technical support to staff, and work closely with technical teams as a core contributor to how a growing quantum company operates. Strong IT fundamentals, practical networking experience, and an interest in information and cyber security are essential to ensuring stable, secure, and scalable IT operations. Requirements Required Skills & Experience 5 years’ experience as a Network Engineer, IT Engineer, or similar mid-level role Strong hands-on networking experience, including setup, management, and troubleshooting of network environments Hands-on experience configuring and managing network security appliances such as firewalls and VPNs Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, and firewall concepts Strong Windows systems administration experience Proven experience in Linux and Windows server management and security. Experience deploying, managing, and supporting virtualization platforms and hypervisors Proven ability to troubleshoot complex IT, network, and security issues Experience delivering helpdesk and end-user support in a business environment Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Skills & Experience Information security or cyber security knowledge or hands-on experience Experience working in hybrid or cloud environments Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools Personal Attributes Hands-on, practical, and proactive approach to problem solving Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing technical environment
