The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Scaffolder ready to step up into a Casual Leading Hand role on a 6-month higher duties (HD) contract, based at our Forster branch. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and take the next step in your career. Depending on operational requirements, the role may continue beyond the initial 6-month contract. What You’ll Be Doing Supervising and directing scaffold crews on site to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Australian Standards Conducting pre-starts, enforcing PPE and SWMS requirements, and reporting hazards promptly Coordinating labour, materials, and equipment requirements with supervisors and yard teams Inspecting scaffolds and ensuring tagging, documentation, and handover requirements are met Completing site diaries, day works, and handover forms accurately and on time Mentoring and developing your team, leading by example and reinforcing a positive team culture What You’ll Bring Scaffolding Licence Construction White Card (mandatory) Forklift Licence (desirable) Strong communication, accountability, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
