Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturing Tullamarine, Melbourne VIC $130,000 – $150,000 Super Pay Reviews We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Tullamarine. This role is ideally suited to a candidate who began their career as a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter or Electrician and has since progressed into Maintenance Supervisor, Team Leader or Management positions within manufacturing or FMCG environments. About the role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the site maintenance function, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and driving preventative maintenance strategies across the facility. You will oversee the maintenance team while working closely with Production and Operations to support site performance, safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Leading and managing the site maintenance team Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities Driving continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives Managing breakdown response and minimising downtime Planning maintenance schedules and shutdown activities Managing contractors, spare parts and maintenance systems Supporting site safety, compliance and food manufacturing standards Working closely with Production to improve plant performance and efficiency About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous trade qualification background as either a Maintenance Fitter or Electrician Proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisor, Team Leader or Maintenance Manager role Strong leadership experience within food, beverage, FMCG or manufacturing environments Solid understanding of preventative maintenance systems and maintenance planning Experience leading teams in fast-paced production environments Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills A proactive and hands-on leadership approach This opportunity is well suited to an experienced Maintenance Supervisor looking to step into a Maintenance Manager role with greater responsibility and long-term career growth.
