Due to growth, we are seeking a Safety Adviser (Outages) to join their team in Wollongong. Within this role, you will assist the HSE Manager to: Develop, review, revise and implement ISO Integrated Management System including safety inspections, audits and providing guidance on site. Maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices on site. Identify hazards, assess risks to WHS, put appropriate safety controls in place and provide advice about accident prevention. The role: Assisting the HSE Manager with all HSE matters and to promote Work Health and Safety on site and develop safer and healthier ways of working. Inspect worksites and workplace equipment to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks. Ensure personal protective equipment is being used on the worksite according to regulations. Report and record and report hazards, accidents, injuries, and health issues. Assist with investigating accidents and unsafe working conditions, causes and recommend remedial actions. Conduct safety training and toolbox sessions for site workers and prepare topics for site workers Prepare site safety documents in collaboration with Service Engineers and Project Managers. Ensure that the safety files are managed effectively, comply with the correct standard and submitted on time. What we're looking for: Relevant qualifications within WHS Drivers licence Well-developed communication skills Ability to work independently using own initiative Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and decision-making The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and work in partnership and across boundaries to achieve results Experience working in an industrial/mining/power station environment and on-site safety management Be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and compliance with WHS legislation and policy Proficient in MS Office suite On offer: $100k super (neg) $19k car allowance 12 months fixed term contract Global company Mining focus Immediate start If you're looking for the next step in your career, APPLY TODAY!
