Mobile Plant Mechanic Leading Hand Our client is a well-established and growing business within the quarrying and construction materials industry, supplying high-quality products across NSW. We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic Leading Hand to join our team in the Goulburn area, NSW. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced HD Fitter with strong knowledge of mining or civil equipment and a passion for mentoring and developing junior tradespeople. About the Role Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day workshop activities while remaining actively involved in maintenance and repairs across a large fleet of quarry and mobile plant equipment. You will play a key role in leading by example, ensuring high safety standards, quality workmanship, and efficient workshop operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate workshop and field service maintenance activities Carry out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and breakdown work on heavy mobile equipment Lead and mentor apprentices and junior fitters Allocate work and provide technical guidance to the maintenance team Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently Conduct preventative maintenance and fault finding Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Liaise with operations to minimise equipment downtime Promote a positive safety-first culture across the team About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Mechanical Trade qualification Strong experience working on mining, quarry, or civil mobile plant equipment Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Senior Fitter position Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Commitment to workplace safety and team culture Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment Excellent communication and leadership skills Current driver’s licence What’s on Offer Permanent full-time position Competitive salary package Stable long-term opportunity with an established business Supportive team environment If you are an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic looking to step into a leadership role with a reputable quarry business, we would love to hear from you.
