Job Summary: Position: Dairy Cattle Farm Operators Location: Outtrim, Victoria 3951 Salary: AUD $69.000 per annum Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Operate and oversee milking systems and related equipment. Detect and report equipment faults, irregular performance, and any issues relating to animal health or farm operations. Read, monitor, and record data from instruments (e.g., milk vat temperatures, herd counts). Follow and apply safe work practices and procedures. Perform a variety of farm duties to deliver quality outcomes, including operating farm machinery, feeding livestock, and preparing the milking shed before and after milking. Maintain and clean equipment, including making adjustments, changing sizes, and ensuring milking equipment is cleaned and sanitised as required Address issues and make decisions in line with established guidelines. Possess knowledge of general scientific terms and support processes like machine repair, artificial insemination, and fertiliser mix preparation. Use standard measuring tools accurately. Operate computerised systems through menu-driven options. Perform a defined role within the team while contributing ideas and supporting team members. Work independently when required without direct supervision. Qualifications and Skills: Possess relevant qualifications or practical experience in dairy or livestock farming. Ability to organise and manage workloads efficiently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to meet the physical demands of farm work with consistent strength and endurance.
