We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead end-to-end commissioning on major data centre construction projects in Melbourne. In this role, you will own the commissioning strategy through to successful handover — bringing structure, discipline, and leadership to ensure systems are safe, compliant, and operationally ready. What You Will Be Doing As the Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring complex projects meet the highest standards of operational readiness. Your key responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership: Lead the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) strategy, planning, and delivery across multiple complex packages. Operational Readiness: Review designs and drive improvements to ensure operational readiness and optimal program outcomes. Stakeholder Alignment: Build clear scopes, align diverse stakeholders, and keep all testing activities on track and within schedule. Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards across QA, compliance, and project documentation. Team Direction: Lead consultants and contractors to consistently achieve quality benchmarks and milestone targets from design through to final handover. What You Will Bring To be successful in this role, you will need a strong commercial mindset, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and clear communication skills. We are looking for candidates who bring: Educational/Trade Background: A relevant Electrical Engineering degree or a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) trade background. Industry Experience: Proven commissioning experience within data centres, tunnelling, hospitals, or similar complex, mission-critical environments. Leadership Experience: 10 years of experience in a Commissioning Manager (or equivalent) role on major projects. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of electrical reticulation systems, HV/LV infrastructure, UPS, and backup generation systems. Why This Opportunity?
