The Opportunity This is a varied payroll position where accuracy, timing and service delivery are essential. You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a medium-sized workforce, acting as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and an outsourced payroll provider. Alongside payroll responsibilities, you will support broader financial operations including reconciliations, reporting and process improvement initiatives. The Role As the Payroll Officer you will be responsible for accurate payroll delivery and supporting day-to-day operations. Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 130–170 employees Act as primary contact with outsourced payroll provider (Aurion MPaaS) Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Awards and internal policies Respond to and resolve complex payroll queries Maintain accurate payroll records and system workflows Complete payroll reconciliations and support audit processes Assist with journals, reporting, accounts payable and bank reconciliations Support budgeting, reporting and government submissions Contribute to system improvements and process automation Work closely with finance and business partnering teams The Ideal Person You are a detail-focused payroll professional with strong financial acumen and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset. You have experience working in complex payroll environments and are confident interpreting legislation, Awards and policies to ensure accurate outcomes. You bring a steady, customer-focused approach and are comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Experience with Aurion MPaaS and TechOne will be highly regarded, along with strong Excel capability and analytical skills.
