Job description An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR professional to join a high performing People and Culture team within a respected Federal Government agency focused on delivering meaningful national outcomes. This APS6 opportunity is suited to a collaborative and solutions-focused HR practitioner with strong experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR advisory functions within the APS environment. About the Role Working closely with business areas and senior stakeholders, you will provide high-level HR advice and support across a broad range of workforce matters while contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction processes Providing trusted HR advice on performance management, employee relations, and HR policy matters Supporting the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and workforce initiatives Partnering with managers and employees to provide practical and policy-aligned HR guidance Managing sensitive and complex HR matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement Supporting WHS initiatives and broader people and culture priorities Preparing HR documentation, reports, briefs, and correspondence for stakeholders and leadership teams To be successful, you will demonstrate: Previous APS HR experience at APS6 level or equivalent Strong knowledge of APS HR frameworks, policies, and legislation Experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance development, and HR case management Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team High levels of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when managing sensitive matter You will be rewarded with: Supportive and collaborative team culture Hybrid working arrangements available Sydney or Canberra location Competitive APS6 salary package plus 15.4% superannuation Opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector outcomes Australian Citizenshipship and Baseline clearance is required For a confidential discussion, please contact Sam at DFP on 0385457508 and apply online.
