Job description An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Supervisor to join this government organisation, delivering maintenance contracts and building projects across the SEQ region. This role combines estimating, project coordination, and hands-on supervision of maintenance and construction activities. Position will be depot based, however on occasion preferable for backfill requirements across Correctional and Youth Detention Centres in SEQ Region. Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality tender and quotation documentation for maintenance and building projects Prepare accurate estimates, material lists, trade packages, and construction programs Provide supervisory support across maintenance, construction, and upgrade works Assist in planning and delivery of projects through effective leadership of office staff, field teams, and subcontractors Conduct condition assessments, including building inspections and sampling of suspected asbestos materials Deliver tenancy management services and maintenance referrals for Government Employee Housing Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Safety Management Systems Promote services and identify new business opportunities Manage staff performance and maintain professional workplace conduct Support operations across Correctional and Youth Detention Centres when required Mandatory Requirements Ability to obtain: Criminal History Check 27A Clearance Working With Children Check (Blue Card) Highly Desirable Skills & Experience Construction or maintenance background Experience in resource planning and supervising trade staff Knowledge of estimating and quoting processes Strong customer relationship skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Apply now or call Keira at 07 3239 2500 for more information Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.
