Job description Principal Policy Officer (Level 7) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Policy Officer to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of key policy initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic policy directions, providing expert advice, and collaborating across agencies to achieve organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the research, analysis, and development of complex policies and programs. Provide expert advice to senior management and stakeholders on policy options and implications. Drive policy consultation processes, ensuring engagement with diverse stakeholder groups. Monitor and evaluate policy impacts, recommending adjustments as needed. Prepare high-quality policy papers, reports, and briefing materials. Support the implementation of policy initiatives and oversee related projects. Qualifications & Experience: Extensive experience in policy development, analysis, and implementation. Strong understanding of government policy processes and frameworks. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to lead complex projects and work effectively across teams. Relevant tertiary qualification in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
