About the Role Taldumande Youth Services is seeking reliable and motivated Casual Evening Residential Youth Workers to join our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) team. You’ll work primarily at our North Shore refuge houses on the North Shore. Your role will involve supporting young people (12–24) in their daily lives, building trust, and helping them develop independence. This is a casual position with consistent ongoing shifts, with the opportunity to transition into Permanent Part-Time. This is primarily an evening and sleepover-based role , and availability for these shifts is essential . Typical shifts include: Active evening shift: 5:00pm – 11:00pm Sleepover shift (overnight) Morning shift (next day): 7:00am – 9:00am What You’ll Do Support young people in daily routines Build positive, trusting relationships Deliver activities that build life skills and independence Respond to challenging situations calmly and safely Maintain a structured and supportive environment Complete case notes and assist with household duties About You To be successful, you will have: Certificate IV in Youth Work (or related field) 2 years’ experience in community services, preferably residential care Flexible for evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts Confident, reliable, and approachable Able to work independently and as part of a team Current NSW Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain) Willing to complete Working With Children Check & National Police Checks Availability for evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts (essential) Why Join Us?
