As a leading Indian restaurant in Brisbane, we are dedicated to providing our customers with an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. As our Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality Indian dishes, ensuring that they are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. You will work closely with our Head Chef to develop and refine our menu, using your knowledge and love for Indian cuisine to bring new and exciting flavours to our customers. Minimum Requirements: - Certificate IV in Cookery/kitchen management or above - Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar environment - Extensive knowledge and passion for Indian cuisine - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Strong communication and teamwork abilities - Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings Key Responsibilities: - Preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes according to our menu specifications - Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation - Ensuring all food is prepared and served in a timely manner - Working closely with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items - Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies - Maintaining a clean and organized work environment - Training and supervising junior kitchen staff - Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards We offer a competitive salary of $78,000 - $85,000, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
