Job Description Position: APS6 Organisational Change Support Officer Location: Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide Start date: ASAP Duration: Approx. 12 months with potential to extend Pay rate: Rates negotiable dependent on skills and experience Overview Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS6 Organisational Change Support Officer to support the delivery of a major transformation program focused on enhancing service delivery, workforce capability, and stakeholder outcomes. Working closely with the Change Manager, this role will contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of change activities across the program. The successful candidate will support stakeholder engagement, communications, training coordination, benefits tracking, and reporting activities to help ensure staff and stakeholders are informed, prepared, and supported throughout the change process. This position requires strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement capability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities Support the development and maintenance of change management plans, documentation, and artefacts. Assist with change impact assessments across business areas and stakeholder groups. Maintain project registers, including stakeholder, risk, issue, and change impact registers. Contribute to organisational readiness activities and deployment planning. Support stakeholder identification, mapping, and engagement activities. Coordinate workshops, consultations, forums, and other stakeholder engagement initiatives. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and support relationship management activities. Ensure stakeholder information is accurately captured and reflected in change planning. Assist in the development and maintenance of benefits realisation documentation and reporting. Support the collection, analysis, and tracking of benefit and performance data. Prepare reports on benefits progress, risks, and achievement outcomes. Assist in the development and delivery of communication materials and change-related messaging. Coordinate communication schedules and support distribution across multiple channels. Monitor stakeholder feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support training needs analysis and coordinate learning and development activities. Assist in the development of training materials, guides, presentations, and learning resources. Coordinate training logistics, scheduling, attendance tracking, and feedback collection. Experience/Requirements Demonstrated experience supporting organisational change, project delivery, business transformation, or related initiatives. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes. Experience developing and maintaining project documentation, registers, plans, and reporting artefacts. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and effective communication materials. Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience supporting stakeholder engagement activities, workshops, consultations, or communication initiatives. Experience supporting benefits tracking, reporting, data collection, or performance measurement activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. Experience supporting training coordination, learning activities, or capability development initiatives. Ability to translate complex information into practical guidance, training materials, or communication products.
