19th June, 2026 Indigeco is recruiting multiple EL1 Project Managers for our Commonwealth Government client. These roles will support a major national transformation program, working across project planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery coordination, governance and reporting. This is a 12 month contract with two potential 12 month extension options, based at Canberra Airport with flexible hybrid working arrangements available. ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a large Commonwealth Government agency delivering complex national services across a highly regulated environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant program of work involving multiple stakeholders, business areas, delivery teams and technology enabled change. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate the planning, scheduling and delivery of assigned project deliverables, including work packages, dependencies and implementation activities Develop and maintain key project documentation such as initiation documents, statements of work, delivery plans, costings and engagement materials Identify, monitor and escalate project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring mitigation actions are tracked and progressed Engage with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to support project outcomes and maintain strong working relationships Provide clear, accurate and timely reporting for a range of stakeholders, including progress updates, risks, issues and delivery status Support the monitoring of project expenditure, escalating deviations from agreed tolerances in line with project governance requirements Coordinate meetings, support governance activities and provide secretariat support where required WHAT YOU NEED Current Baseline, NV1 or NV2 security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline clearance Ability to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance Demonstrated experience in project management roles within large, complex organisations Experience working in large government organisations or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded Minimum 10 years of business systems experience, with strong understanding of project delivery, planning and stakeholder engagement Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, build relationships and provide clear advice Availability to work 40 hours per week, with flexible hybrid working arrangements to be agreed ABOUT YOUR PERKS 12 month contract with 24 month extension options Flexible hybrid working arrangements available Opportunity to support a major Commonwealth Government transformation program Work with experienced project teams, vendors and senior stakeholders Contribute to nationally significant project outcomes HOW TO APPLY If you are an experienced Project Manager with strong business systems experience, government delivery exposure and the ability to work within a secure Commonwealth environment, we would love to hear from you!
