CoreStaff is seeking a motivated Waste Operator – Collections to one of our local government clients. This hands-on role plays a key part in delivering efficient, safe and sustainable waste collection services to our community. Reporting to the Supervisor Waste and Resource Recovery, this full-time position is based at the Operations Centre and assists with the day-to-day operations of waste collections and associated activities. Key Responsibilities: • safely and efficiently operate waste collection vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc collections, including Containers for Change, public places, facilities and events • undertake litter, illegal dumping and roadkill collection and disposal in accordance with safety and environmental procedures • follow designated collection routes while maintaining service standards and efficiency • complete bin repairs, replacements and general maintenance tasks • deliver and retrieve mobile garbage bins for events, new services and service changes • conduct pre-start inspections of vehicles and equipment. You will have: • working knowledge of waste management and WHS practices • a current and valid WA HR Class Driver’s Licence • a current Construction Safety Awareness (White Card).
