About the role: Working in the Ultrasound Department at GV Health offers a diverse caseload and population, with our Sonographers working across hospital wards, the Emergency Department and outpatients. Newly upgraded, our department consists of 6 separate ultrasound rooms, including one dedicated for interventional procedures and another for emergency patients. The department operates from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 to 13:00 on weekends. Grade 3 Sonographer You will work closely with the Sonographer Tutor, developing skills and expertise in musculoskeletal system and vascular structures imaging. Competency in abdomen, obstetrics, gynaecological and small parts is expected. Grade 4 Sonographer You will independently perform ultrasound examinations across all areas of practice, delivering consistent examinations to a high standard. Grade 4 sonographers are expected to participate in all shifts on a rotating roster, which will include weekends and on call shifts. Successful candidate will have : Current MRPBA registration, Victorian Radiation Use Licence and driver's licence Completion of an accredited ultrasound qualification Current registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry to practice as a Sonographer.
