The Opportunity - Sharp & Carter Perth have been engaged in supporting a leading global mining services organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner. Embedded within a high-performing operational division, this role will partner closely with senior leaders across the business to drive performance, provide commercial insight, and influence key strategic decisions. Reporting directly to the Head Of Finance for WA, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders, helping translate financial data into meaningful actions that support growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to operations, building strong stakeholder relationships, and adding value beyond the numbers. Key Responsibilities - Partner with divisional leadership to drive financial and operational performance. Deliver meaningful commercial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes across the division. Identify opportunities to improve profitability, optimise costs, and enhance business performance. Support business cases, capital investment decisions, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with operational teams to monitor KPIs and drive accountability. Work closely with FP&A and Group Finance teams to ensure alignment and reporting accuracy. Improve reporting frameworks, processes, and systems to increase visibility and efficiency. About You - CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent). Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or Operational Finance role. Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert data into actionable insights. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively. Experience within mining services, resources, engineering, construction, manufacturing, logistics, or similarly operational environments. Advanced systems exposure, including ERP platforms and reporting tools such as Power BI.
