This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled culinary professional to contribute to a thriving hospitality business. Key Duties and Responsibilities Planning menus in consultation with management. Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with budget control. Ordering, receiving and managing food supplies and kitchen inventory. Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation. Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff. Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising staff on cooking procedures and food preparation. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard. Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Explaining and enforcing hygiene and sanitation standards within the kitchen. Assisting with the recruitment, selection and training of kitchen staff as required. Supervising kitchen operations and maintaining efficient workflow. Freezing, preserving and storing food items in accordance with food safety requirements. Maintaining consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation standards. Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field. Relevant work experience as a Chef (or as required under applicable regulations). Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
