Position Summary : As the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) you are responsible for providing an exceptional comprehensive quality care to our clients. In this role you are expected to follow compliance and practice standards always while working within your scope of clinical practice to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care. As a PCA you will be required to provide personal and home care services to our clients adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure safety for the client and the employee. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development This position requires physical ability to occasionally lift and/or move Clients Job Responsibility : Clinical Perform personal and home care duties within required level of competency according to best available evidence Explain procedures to the client, providing them with support and reassurance Duties include personal care, home care; meal preps, assistance with activities of daily living, transport and respite care. Assist the client with all care procedures Maintain accurate clinical documentation. Patient Services Assist with data management, networking with other providers for the management of the client's care and client advocacy Ensure all duties and services are performed within the time allocation. Improvement of patient health outcomes Report any concerns to the Clinical Manger. Assist with client education and self care activities Co-ordinate clients care with the Clinical Manager for any support required. Patient Visits Provide home visits as required for monitoring & support. Equipment and Supplies Ensure maintenance of equipment as required Maintain stocks of supplies and inform the Clinical Manager if any supplies are needed. Provide input in purchasing relevant equipment and supplies Compliance Maintain awareness of current and new legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, safe handling/disposal of waste, records management, OHS, and accreditation Ensure relevant personnel are kept informed and changes are made to systems and procedures as required Professional Act within the practice and nursing code of ethics & appropriate level of clinical competence at all times Maintain awareness of current evidence and research on clinical practices and inform/educate other PCA Change systems and procedures to ensure compliance with best available evidence as applicable Safety Consistently be aware of safety requirements and comply with them Job Functions : Nurses Job Benefits : Klinical Support Services values and supports work life balance.
