We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Yardhand / Groundskeeper for a temporary 2-3 month assignment based in Davenport, with the potential for extension and future opportunities within the business. This autonomous role involves forklift operation, chemical handling, grounds maintenance, waste management, and general yard upkeep. About the Role: Manage site waste and recycling operations, including compactors, bins, pallets, and general housekeeping. Conduct routine facility inspections, equipment checks, and meter readings. Monitor, receive, store, and order chemicals in accordance with site procedures. Operate forklifts and assist with unloading deliveries and moving materials. Maintain external grounds, including gardens, lawns, irrigation systems, and site cleanliness. Perform general maintenance tasks such as pressure cleaning, painting, line marking, and replacing consumables. Assist with machinery relocation, dismantling, and other site maintenance activities as required. Support the upkeep of backup power systems and other site infrastructure. About You: Current Forklift Licence (essential). Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities. Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling tasks. Experience in site maintenance, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or a similar environment is desirable. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
