About the Role: As an Intern Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. Under the guidance of licensed pharmacists, you will assist in dispensing medications, provide patient counselling, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and best practices. Role and Responsibilities: Assist licensed pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and labelling of medications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide patient counselling on medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions under pharmacist supervision. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage conditions. Participate in the processing of prescriptions, including data entry, insurance verification, and communication with healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with allpharmacy policies and procedures. Where appropriate, assist with a range of professional services under supervision of a registered pharmacist. Work in the role of a Registered Pharmacist once you obtain full AHPRA registration. Requirements: Completion of Bachelor or Masters degree in Pharmacy. Ability to work well in a team and independently. A genuine interest in community pharmacy and patient care. Current provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Availability and willingness to do shift work that includes weekend, early morning and late afternoon shifts.
