My client has multiple GOLD operations throughout Western Australia. At one of these sites the technical services superintendent requires a ventilation engineer to join their team. Key Responsibilites: Operate, monitor, and optimize underground ventilation systems to ensure safe, breathable air throughout the mine Conduct ventilation surveys, airflow measurements, and environmental monitoring Maintain ventilation plans, models, and compliance documentation in accordance with WA legislation Provide technical advice to mining and engineering teams on ventilation requirements Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and safety Support emergency preparedness including fire response and smoke management strategies Deliver ventilation awareness training to operational personnel What You'll Bring: Essential: Tertiary qualification in a mining-related discipline Passed Underground Legislation Ventilation Officer Exam Minimum 2 years underground experience, including 6 months working with a ventilation officer (or previous appointment as Underground Ventilation Officer) Current WA "C" class driver's license Completed WHS Risk Management Units Proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik, Ventsim, or similar) Desired: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capacity to make sound decisions under pressure Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement What to do next: If this role sounds like you and you would like to relocate to Western Australia then apply or send resume directly to ian@diamondrecrutiment.com.au If you are in Australia on a sponsored visa then my client will take over your sponsorship.
