You'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing underground mining equipment to maximise reliability, performance and safety. Your day-to-day work will include: Fault finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems Repairing and maintaining underground mining equipment Major component rebuilds including engines, transmissions and braking systems Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing Completing work orders and maintenance documentation Identifying reliability improvements and maintenance solutions Supporting apprentices and contributing to a positive workshop culture Maintaining Bis' strong commitment to Zero Harm What We're Looking For Mechanical Trade Qualification Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar trade background Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience working on heavy mobile plant, mining, transport or construction equipment Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs Highly Regarded Underground mining equipment experience Workshop maintenance experience Forklift ticket Dogman ticket Flameproof equipment experience RII DES Competent Person qualification Why Bis?
