About the Business Unit: Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case. The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a 954-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety. About the Role: In the role of a Justice Officer – Finance, some of your duties will include: Providing a range of high quality, confidential and efficient administrative services and support to the Finance and Stores Supervisor and the Finance team Undertaking a range of administrative functions including word processing, data input and management and the maintenance of various records, registers and returns Monitoring and liaising with clients and stakeholders and providing accurate advice and information in relation to justice services in accordance with business processes.
