Core Talent are currently partnered with a leading major contractor across Oil & Gas, Infrastructure & Civil works who are now seeking an experienced Cost Engineer and/or Estimator with upstream LNG experience. Project Scopes are across gas gathering and infrastructure works within the Surat Basin, inclusive of infrastructure for access tracks and well site lease pad preparation, gas and water pipeline gathering networks, electrical supply networks across APLNG wellsites. You will be responsible for: Preparing the request for authority to proceed with the tender and gaining the appropriate authorisation Ensuring that each tender is based on appropriate construction methods, is technically and numerically correct and adequate provision is made for both direct and indirect resources Utilising systems and processes to enable the professional preparation of tenders Monitoring and reporting on the cost planning of design development Maintaining accurate document control throughout the tender process Ensuring that prior to the tender being submitted all documentation is completed accurately and is appropriately authorised Minimum requirements for the role: Experience in LNG, pipelines and/or gas gathering Comes from a Mechanical or civil background Knowledge & experience of pricing and estimating Demonstrated commercial experience in a similar industry Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering degree Salary: $190-$200k inclusive of super. For this role, you don’t need to be an out and out estimator, they are open to finding the right person from an Engineering, Cost or Estimating background if you have pricing experience and come with LNG exposure.
