SCADA Specialist – Operational Technology & Real-Time Systems We are urgently looking for an experienced SCADA Specialist for a leading infrastructure and utilities organisation to support and enhance critical Operational Technology (OT) and real-time systems environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled technology team responsible for maintaining high-availability SCADA/DMS platforms that support essential network operations. About the Role As the SCADA Specialist, you will play a key role in the administration, maintenance, support and enhancement of complex SCADA/DMS environments across multiple operational networks. You will contribute to both BAU support and project delivery activities, ensuring system reliability, performance, security and data integrity within a 24/7 operational environment. You will work across a range of real-time systems and applications, supporting ongoing upgrades, configuration changes, fault investigations and operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain SCADA/DMS applications and associated OT systems Assist with software upgrades, patching, testing and implementation activities Perform advanced system and application configuration changes Investigate faults and implement sustainable solutions or workarounds Support change management, security and compliance processes Participate in project work related to SCADA, DMS and associated platforms Manage routine administration and maintenance activities across OT environments Assist with SCADA/DMS data management and data quality activities Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams to resolve system issues Participate in an after-hours support roster as required About You You are a technically strong SCADA/OT professional with experience supporting critical infrastructure or industrial control environments. You thrive in high-availability operational settings and enjoy solving complex technical problems. Skills & Experience Experience supporting SCADA/DMS or Operational Technology environments Strong understanding of real-time systems and high-availability architectures Knowledge of SCADA protocols such as DNP3, Conitel and ICCP Experience with SCADA systems and OT infrastructure architecture Exposure to GE PowerOn Fusion or similar DMS platforms highly regarded Strong troubleshooting and fault investigation capabilities Experience with software testing, upgrades and change implementation Programming/scripting capability including SQL, Shell scripting, Perl or similar Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within a structured change-controlled environment Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills Understanding of electricity distribution, transmission or utilities environments advantageous What's on Offer 6-Months Contract initially, with high chances of extension Opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure systems Exposure to complex and enterprise-scale OT environments Collaborative and technically skilled team environment Long-term career growth within a stable industry sector Competitive remuneration package If you are an experienced SCADA /OT specialist looking for your next challenge in a critical infrastructure environment, we would welcome your application.
