We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their Finance and Administration team in a hands-on role managing a large, complex payroll function. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong EBA experience, and takes pride in delivering accurate and compliant payroll outcomes while being part of a collaborative and supportive team. About the Role Reporting into the Finance team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of a high-volume payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements. Key Responsibilities End-to-end processing of a high-volume payroll for 500 employees Managing complex payroll requirements within an EBA environment Interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, awards, overtime calculations, allowances, and payroll legislation Reviewing, validating, and approving timesheets and payroll adjustments Processing superannuation, payroll tax, and other statutory payroll obligations Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and compliance activities Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and management Identifying opportunities for process improvements and payroll efficiencies Working collaboratively with the Payroll and Finance team to ensure smooth payroll operations About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior payroll position managing large and complex payrolls Strong experience working within EBA and/or blue-collar workforce environments Proven ability to process high-volume payrolls accurately and efficiently Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and statutory obligations Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong organisational and time management abilities The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment Experience using Pronto Payroll will be highly regarded, though not essential What's on Offer Stable, full-time permanent position Opportunity to join a growing and successful business Supportive and collaborative team culture Established payroll function with shared workload support Annual Christmas shutdown aligned with the ETU calendar Long-term career opportunity within a secure and reputable organisation Professional office-based working environment If you're a highly experienced payroll professional looking for a stable and rewarding opportunity within a supportive team, we encourage you to apply today.
