About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Field Service Representative to join a leading Australian Defence technology organisation supporting advanced surveillance, sensing and mission-critical electronic systems. Based in Adelaide, this role will see you working closely with Defence personnel to provide maintenance, technical support and training services for complex electronic systems deployed within operational environments. The position offers a unique combination of hands-on technical work, stakeholder engagement and field support activities. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Technical Support Deliver on-site maintenance and technical support for advanced electronic and sensor systems. Perform fault diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance activities on complex hardware and software systems. Conduct and document maintenance activities, technical investigations and service reports. Support configuration management activities, software updates and system modifications. Maintain specialised support and test equipment. Assist with technical publication reviews and updates. Provide subject matter expertise to support defect investigations and engineering change activities. Support helpdesk and after-hours technical assistance when required. Contribute to system availability and operational readiness outcomes. Training & Capability Support Provide technical assistance during operator and maintainer training activities. Mentor Defence maintainers and technical personnel on system operation and maintenance. Assist with the development and maintenance of technical training materials and documentation. Support field exercises, capability demonstrations and operational activities as required. Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years' experience supporting, maintaining or operating complex electronic systems within Defence, aerospace, telecommunications, radar, surveillance or related industries. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills at system level. Experience working in field-based or customer-facing technical support environments. Proven ability to work independently while supporting geographically dispersed teams. Experience using electronic test equipment including: Oscilloscopes Multimeters Spectrum Analysers Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, operators and technical stakeholders.
