Recruitment Select are seeking a dedicated Labelling Operator to join a large and reputable company based in Nagambie. This is a full-time casual position offering long-term opportunity. This role involves working day shift for an initial 2-3 month period, followed by a transition to afternoon shift. Role Overview: As a Labelling Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of high-speed labelling and packaging lines. This includes managing label rolls, adjusting machine settings, and carrying out quality assurance checks to ensure consistent product standards. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain inline labelling equipment to ensure optimal performance while preventing damage to bottles or labels. Quality Assurance: Monitor label placement, alignment, orientation, and barcode legibility. Perform routine checks on glue systems and carton printing (inkjet/sticker). Line Maintenance: Troubleshoot minor issues, clear jams, and carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of labelling heads and conveyors. Inventory Handling: Work closely with the warehouse supervisor to ensure correct label reels, foils, and packaging materials are loaded and available. Compliance: Strictly follow WHS (Work Health & Safety), QA/QC standards, and food safety regulations at all times. Selection Criteria: Previous experience operating automated labelling or packaging machinery (wine or beverage industry experience highly regarded). Strong attention to detail and sound mechanical aptitude. Basic computer skills with the ability to operate touchscreen control systems. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual handling tasks.
